Insights from Biljana Arsovska: Challenges and Opportunities for Millennial Women in Consulting
We have created a platform for millennial women working in the industry who are ready to share their success stories. We launched a series of interviews to highlight their inspiring experiences and achievements, focusing on women who are transforming the world around them. In this edition, we spoke with Biljana Arsovska, Marketing manager at MOBES Kvalitet.

Can you tell us more about the company where you are working and its objective?
Mobes Quality Skopje is a consulting company specialized in helping small, medium and large companies and public sector organizations improve the way they run their business through cooperation in the introduction, training and assistance in the certification of management systems. Our goal is to continuously and consistently meet the requirements and expectations of clients, the requirements of standards, national regulations and international standards. We constantly monitor the needs of the market and want to be a fair and transparent competition, which is clearly distinguished by the quality of services.
What challenges have you faced as a millennial woman working in your industry, and how have you overcome them?
As a millennial woman who works in consulting, I often face the balance between work and personal life, which is family responsibilities. I overcome this with flexible working arrangements, i.e. working from home or adapting my working hours.

What competencies or skills do you believe are most valuable for millennial women in the workplace, and why?
For my position, it is necessary to have good communication and organizational skills, flexibility, adaptability, teamwork, strategic thinking and problem and conflict resolution. Good communication with clients is especially important for efficient work and project management. Strategic thinking is necessary for easier problem and conflict resolution.
How can millennial women continue to develop and refine their skills in the industry?
Millennial women can continue to develop and improve their skills through: continuous learning, professional education, developing new abilities through practical experience, working on personal projects, setting clear and measurable goals, applying new technologies, and more.
How do you think millennial women bring a unique perspective to the industry compared to previous generations?
Compared to previous generations, millennial women have the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and social changes. They are committed to gender equality and work-life balance.
How do you see the role of mentorship and support networks playing a part in the advancement and success of millennial women in the workplace?
Mentoring and support networks play a key role in the success of millennial women in the workplace. They enable them to continuously develop personal and professional success, solve problems and challenges, and build professional connections.
The Series of interviews are part of the project EMPOWERING – Empowering M-Women in Industry which focuses on millennial women (born between 1980 and 1995) working in manufacturing industries, aiming to support their professional education, skill development, and career advancement. The mission extends beyond individual empowerment to fostering European collaboration and networking, which are essential for success in today’s world.
