EWA info session on improving pitching skills: Pitch Troubleshooting Day
As part of the program supporting women’s entrepreneurship in agriculture, an online info session titled Pitch Troubleshooting Day was held on October 20, 2025.

The session was led by Gjorgjina Ristovska, a graduate economist specializing in management and co-founder of the health-tech startup DIA (Diabetes Intelligent Assistant) – an innovative AI solution for diabetes management. With over two years of active experience in the startup ecosystem, Ristovska shared practical insights on what makes a pitch truly successful and how to craft a story that leaves a lasting impression.

The session aimed to help participants refine the way they present their ideas – not as a report, but as a story that inspires. Ristovska emphasized that a successful pitch is not just a presentation, but an opportunity to convey one’s passion, vision, and belief in the solution being created.

Particular emphasis was placed on understanding the audience, tailoring the message, and creating a logical flow that guides listeners toward a clear goal.

Ristovska also shared valuable advice on how to effectively use visual materials, keep the audience engaged, and avoid common pitching mistakes.
Overall, the session provided participants with practical guidance for improving their pitching skills and served as valuable preparation for future successful presentations.
What is the EWA Program?
Empowering Women in Agrifood (EWA) is a European program designed to help women entrepreneurs in the agrifood sector develop their innovative ideas — not only through financial support but also through professional training, mentoring, and networking opportunities. The program targets women in the early stages of their entrepreneurial careers, providing access to the knowledge and connections needed to build sustainable and successful businesses.
The local partner of the program is the Foundation for Management and Industrial Research (MIR) – an organization actively promoting innovation, technology transfer, and gender equality in entrepreneurship and research. Through its activities, the Foundation:
• Conducts research and fosters innovation for sustainable growth
• Collaborates with enterprises to access global markets
• Promotes eco-innovation and new business opportunities
• Encourages social cohesion and inclusive development
For the first time this year, the EWA program is being implemented in North Macedonia through the Foundation for Management and Industrial Research, marking a significant step forward in supporting women’s entrepreneurship and innovation in the agrifood sector.
