DigitMak – A new European Digital Innovation Hub
The European Digital Innovation Hub – DigitMak project, which officially started implementation this month, marks a significant step toward positioning Macedonia as an active player in the European digital economy. As part of the initial activities, a consortium meeting was held, setting the foundation for coordinated and ambitious project implementation.
DigitMak represents a modern European Digital Innovation Hub that brings together expertise, infrastructure, and networks by merging the DigitMak Hub in Skopje and the SEEU TechPark Hub in Tetovo. This synergy creates a single, stronger platform that ensures nationwide coverage and direct support for businesses and public institutions, with a particular focus on regions outside the capital.
At a time when Artificial Intelligence is becoming a key driver of competitiveness, DigitMak will operate as a one-stop shop, providing companies and institutions with access to cutting-edge technologies, knowledge, and expert support.
DigitMak delivers concrete, practical, and accessible services tailored to the real needs of businesses:
- Test before Invest – enabling companies to experiment with digital and AI solutions before making investment decisions, reducing risk and increasing confidence
- Training and Skills Development – specialized training programs for employees, managers, and technical staff to enhance digital and AI capabilities
- Support for Access to Finance – assistance in connecting with investors, grants, and European funding opportunities
- Networking and Access to Innovation Ecosystems – linking businesses with national and European partners, research centers, and technology providers
Through these services, DigitMak will help companies become more competitive, efficient, and ready for the digital future.
A key added value of DigitMak is its reinforced focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI). The Hub will provide:
- support for integrating AI solutions into business processes
- access to expertise and testing infrastructure
- a first-line AI help desk for companies and public institutions
- guidance on alignment with European regulatory frameworks
This will contribute to accelerating AI adoption across key sectors and strengthening a sustainable and inclusive digital ecosystem in Macedonia.
