Webinar recap: Women in the digital world – inspiration and guidance for a career in STE(A)M
On October 22, 2025, the Foundation for Management and Industrial Research, within the framework of the STREAM IT project, successfully held the webinar “Women in the digital world – inspiration and guidance for a career in STE(A)M”, as part of the National Inspirational Hub (NIH) webinar series.

This fifth webinar in the series was aimed at educational and research institutions (primary, secondary, and higher education), civil society organizations, as well as girls and young women interested in the STE(A)M fields.

The main goal of the webinar was to highlight the position of women in the digital world and e-commerce, emphasize the importance of STE(A)M for future generations, and provide practical guidance and advice for starting and developing a career in these sectors.

Topics covered in the webinar:
- What STE(A)M represents and why it is crucial for digital industries
- E-commerce as an opportunity for professional development
- Women in STE(A)M and e-commerce – current situation, challenges, and potential
- Best practices and lessons learned from the digital economy

A special guest at the event was Marija Ristovska from the Alliance for Gender Equality in the Workplace (GEA), who, through her experience and professional engagement, offered practical advice for building a career in the digital sector and shared inspiring examples from her work.

The webinar once again demonstrated that the digital world offers a space full of opportunities for women, where technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship intersect and open new paths for growth. The shared knowledge and experiences encouraged dialogue and inspiration, laying the foundation for building new generations of women professionals and leaders in STE(A)M and e-commerce.

The Foundation for Management and Industrial Research remains firmly committed to promoting gender equality and inclusion across all sectors and is already working on new activities that will contribute to fulfilling this important mission.
