TvinTek Konekt 2025 – A Conference for Innovation, Technology Transfer, and Networking

A packed room, inspiring conversations, and bold ideas for the future of innovation.
On May 28, in the packed Cozy Room hall of Public Room in Skopje, the TvinTek Konekt 2025 conference was held, bringing together representatives from the public sector, academia, research institutions, and industry with the goal of exchanging experiences and ideas for better technology transfer and strengthening the innovation capacity in the country.

Through two panel discussions and three parallel World Café sessions, participants had the chance to engage in open dialogue, ask questions, and share insights with experts, moderators, and fellow professionals from across different sectors.

As emphasized by Gabriela Kostovska Bogoeska, Executive Director of the Foundation for Management and Industrial Research, with TvinTek Konekt 2025 the aim is to build a sustainable platform that will connect companies, research institutions, and policymakers. These connections are key for faster technology transfer, linking innovations, and developing strategic partnerships that will contribute to technological progress, which is a crucial driver of competitiveness.

In that spirit, the event began with opening remarks highlighting the importance of a culture of innovation and the need for close collaboration between science and industry.
The first panel focused on “Skills for Technology Transfer,” featuring Gabriela Kostovska Bogoeska, Nikola Dodov, Prof. Dr. Viktor Stojmanovski, and Prof. Dr. Radmil Polenakovic, moderated by Ana Sekulovska. The discussion focused on the critical competencies needed to bridge the gap between research and market application.

During the interactive World Café segment, attendees joined one of three themed discussions:

Digital Transformation: The Path to Industry 4.0
Green Innovations: Circular Economy and Upcycling
Culture of Innovation: A Tool for Transformation and Growth

Participants were encouraged to actively contribute ideas and recommendations around each topic.

At the end of the session, moderators from each group presented the key takeaways and recommendations to the full audience, highlighting practical ideas with the potential to become future initiatives.

The closing panel, “Building an Inclusive Innovation Ecosystem,” explored the importance of collaboration between academia, institutions, and the private sector. Panelists included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Petre Lameski, Marija Janevska, and Aleksandra Manolcheva, moderated by Bojana Stanoevska Pecurovska. They emphasized the importance of involving diverse stakeholders—from young entrepreneurs and women in tech to local communities—in shaping innovation policies and programs that support innovative development.

In a positive and productive atmosphere, with high-quality discussions and valuable insights for the audience, the exchange of experiences contributed to a deeper understanding of the role of innovation and technology transfer in national development.

The conference wrapped up on a high note, with meaningful discussions, valuable insights, and a shared commitment to innovation and collaboration. A summary of key conclusions and next steps was presented, followed by informal networking, where participants continued exchanging ideas and forming new partnerships.

TvinTek Konekt 2025 once again proved the importance of initiatives that bridge science, industry, and policy. These collaborations are crucial for unlocking the full potential of innovation and driving long-term economic growth. The conference is organized by the Foundation for Management and Industrial Research, in cooperation with the POLICY ANSWERS project and the Enterprise Europe Network Macedonia.
