The National Platform for Women’s Entrepreneurship is organizing a webinar entitled “Femme digital: Pioneering the future of women’s entrepreneurship”, which will be held on Monday (04/12/2023), starting at 11:00 am.
Recognizing that the most powerful knowledge about women’s entrepreneurship is in the sector itself, we want to present and share the expertise and experience of the collaborators of the National Platform for Women’s Entrepreneurship working in Europe and through the various initiatives they have to motivate and inspire you with their successful practices .
The webinar will address the topic of female entrepreneurship and successful practices through an interactive conversation. The path of a successful women entrepreneur is filled with many successes, failures and challenges. Regardless of the circumstances, quick adaptation and constant learning is required. Apasia Iordanidou/ Founder of YARN Platform (Greece)
She worked as a French language teacher in many foreign language schools and institutes for several years and since 2020 she founded Yarn as an online platform. Behind Yarn is a team of three young teachers who are active in teaching foreign languages with inspiration, creative mood and fresh ideas. The purpose of the platform is to create a dynamic community of trusted foreign language teachers. Through it, teachers can expand their horizons, meet other teachers, exchange ideas and points of view and strengthen each other. For this reason, they organize monthly educational events such as webinars, live workshops and networking sessions in order to adapt to the demands of modern society.
Hana Qerimi/ Co-founder of two platforms Shkolla Digjitale and StarLabs (Kosovo)
Shkolla Digjitale, founded in 2015 in Pristina, has grown from a small local initiative into a company that has created the largest coding course for ages 8 to 18 in the country, with branches in Kosovo and cities around the world, including Germany, Mexico, Brazil , Morocco, Tunisia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Macedonia. With more than 3,000 active students in Kosovo and over 10,000 globally, Shkolla Digjitale is changing the educational landscape. StarLabs, founded in 2017, is a software development company and the largest employer of developers in Kosovo, with more than 180 software developers for the global market.
Elizabeta Jovanovska/ Founder of Best Online Assistant Platform (Macedonia)
Elizabeta is an entrepreneur who, after 2 decades of experience in sales as a Commercial Director and Trainer of sales teams in the FMCG sector, opened her own company in 2017 focusing on online sales and marketing strategies for e-commerce. Faced with a shortage of digital workers, she decides to combine volunteering and profession and starts training people with physical disabilities in digital skills that fit perfectly into new jobs. In 2020, she created the Best Online Assistant platform – a 3-in-1 platform for education, career development and various types of employment for people with disabilities, which, due to its uniqueness and innovative approach, won many world awards, the most prominent of which is the Award for the most innovative solution in the ICT sector in the United Nations together with Google and receives recognition that with its model it solves a problem of 5% of the world’s population. Evaluated by 600 experts from all over the world, it acquires the title “Accessibility Expert”. As a bridge that connects people with disabilities and the business sector, with its model it managed to employ 65 people with disabilities in 1 year. Speaker on Inclusion, digitalization and female entrepreneurship at more than 50 world events, mentor and educator on Social Entrepreneurship, special educator on Digital Skills for marginalized groups. A member of many associations for the support of women entrepreneurs, with her work she earned the title of Women’s Entrepreneurship Expo Ambassador, awarded by UN WOMEN, after which she became the National Consultant for support of the Women’s Entrepreneurship Fair.
