What challenges have you faced as a millennial woman working in your industry, and how have you overcome them?
Gaining Credibility in a Competitive Space: Being a young woman in a leadership role often meant having to prove my expertise and earn respect, especially in a field dominated by seasoned professionals. How I Overcame It: I focused on delivering measurable results and letting my work speak for itself. Building a portfolio of successful projects, staying updated with industry trends, and consistently exceeding client expectations helped establish my credibility.

How do you think millennial women bring a unique perspective to the industry compared to previous generations?
Millennial women bring a unique perspective to the industry through their adaptability, tech-savviness, and emphasis on inclusivity and work-life balance. Unlike previous generations, they prioritize purpose-driven work, value collaboration over hierarchy, and leverage digital tools to drive innovation. Their ability to integrate social responsibility with business strategy also sets them apart, making them key drivers of modern industry evolution.

How do you see the role of mentorship and support networks playing a part in the advancement and success of millennial women in the workplace?
Mentorship and support networks are essential for millennial women in the workplace, providing guidance, confidence, and opportunities for career growth. Mentors offer valuable insights, helping women navigate challenges, develop leadership skills, and expand their professional networks. Support networks create a sense of community, fostering collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and access to resources that can accelerate career progression. Together, they empower women to break barriers, advocate for themselves, and thrive in their industries.

The Series of interviews are part of the project EMPOWERING – Empowering M-Women in Industry which focuses on millennial women (born between 1980 and 1995) working in manufacturing industries, aiming to support their professional education, skill development, and career advancement. The mission extends beyond individual empowerment to fostering European collaboration and networking, which are essential for success in today’s world.
