Foundation for Management and Industrial Research Among Recipients of IPA-ADRION First Call Grants

The recent announcement of the approval of projects under the IPA-ADRION program marks a significant milestone in the advancement of regional cooperation and sustainable development in the Adriatic-Ionian region. Among the selected organizations set to receive grants is the Foundation for Management and Industrial Research (MIR Foundation), reflecting its commitment to fostering innovation, collaboration, and economic growth.

The IPA-ADRION program, funded under the European Union’s Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA), aims to promote cooperation and integration in the Adriatic-Ionian region by supporting projects in areas such as innovation, environmental protection, cultural heritage, and sustainable tourism. The approval of the first call projects underscores the program’s role in facilitating cross-border partnerships and addressing common challenges faced by countries in the region.

The inclusion of MIR Foundation in the list of grant recipients is a testament to its expertise, credibility, and proven track record in managing projects that have a lasting impact on communities and economies. With a focus on education, entrepreneurship, cultural enrichment, and environmental sustainability, MIR Foundation is well-positioned to leverage the IPA-ADRION funding to further its mission of empowering individuals and fostering inclusive development.

On 20th February, during a meeting held in Zagreb, the Interreg IPA ADRION Monitoring Committee announced the approval under conditions of 67 projects out of a total of 222 applications received in the first call for project proposals. The first call, was open from 4 April to 30 June 2023 and targeted all content priorities (1-3) along with the majority of their specific objectives (SO) within the programme.

Projects approved under conditions will receive financing totaling MEUR 85,9 Interreg Funds. This financial support will be strategically utilized to advance transnational activities spanning the entire spectrum of the different topics.
