The Roadmap to the Circular Economy of Macedonia presented: A key development in the promotion of the circular economy

OECD South East Europe Regional Programme  held a meeting to launch the Roadmap to the Circular Economy of Macedonia, which represents a significant success in joint efforts to promote the circular economy in Macedonia. The event was held at the Marriott Hotel in Skopje, on Tuesday, March 26, 2024.


The purpose of this meeting was to officially present the Map to the Circular Economy of Macedonia, to present its main findings and recommendations and to discuss the next steps – from design to implementation. The team of the Foundation for Management and Industrial Research attended this event, which after a year of dedicated cooperation managed to present this map to the relevant stakeholders.


Representatives from the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), the Working Group for Circular Economy in Macedonia, representatives from the European Commission and other institutions were present at the meeting. Regional experts from the governmental and non-governmental sectors contributed to the discussion and shared their experiences in implementing measures to facilitate the transition to a circular economy.
