EWA Macedonia 2025: Pitching & demo day for women innovators in the agrifood
On November 20, 2025, at Public Room – Skopje, the final event of EWA Macedonia 2025: Pitching & demo day for women innovators in the agrifood sector will take place. This event will conclude the six-month Empowering Women in Agrifood (EWA) program, supported by EIT Food and organized by the Foundation for Management and industrial research. The day will be dedicated to women innovators developing solutions for a more sustainable agrifood sector in Macedonia.
EWA Macedonia 2025 will bring together women entrepreneurs, mentors, and key stakeholders from the innovation ecosystem in the agrifood sector. The event will mark the program’s culmination, where participants, supported by their mentors, will present their innovative ideas and solutions to a jury and the audience.
The program will begin with opening remarks from Gabriela Kostovska Bogoeska, Executive director of the Foundation for Management and industrial research and national coordinator of the EWA program, as well as Daniela Dimovska, Director of the Agency for Innovation, scientific and technological development and entrepreneurship – INOVA.
The audience will have the opportunity to hear a motivational talk by Dr. Žarko Kostić, personal development coach, who will open the program with his presentation, “Not every step is perfect — but every step counts,” reminding attendees that growth and success result from every attempt and persistence. In addition to the two Pitch stages, where participants will present their innovative projects, the event will feature an inspiring lecture by Dr. Marija Gjosheva-Kovačević from the Agricultural Institute – Skopje, on the topic “The future of the agrifood sector.”
During the ceremony, the winners of EWA Macedonia 2025 will be announced, with cash prizes and recognition awarded to the most innovative and promising business ideas in the agrifood sector. The event will be closed by Emilija Andonova, Program director at the Foundation for Management and industrial research and Co-coordinator of EWA in Macedonia, with a message encouraging and supporting women entrepreneurs in this sector.
