Webinar recap: Best practices in STE(A)M and future opportunities in cybersecurity
On September 4, 2025, the Foundation for Management and Industrial Research held the third NIH webinar as part of the STREAM IT project. The webinar titled “Best practices in STE(A)M and future opportunities in cybersecurity” was designed for educational and research institutions, non-governmental organizations, as well as for girls and young women interested in STE(A)M.
The webinar focused on the challenges and opportunities for increasing the participation of girls and young women in STE(A)M and cybersecurity, while offering practical solutions for creating a gender-inclusive educational and professional environment.
The topics covered during the webinar were:
- Good practices in STE(A)M and cybersecurity – Real-world examples demonstrating how girls and young women can be motivated and supported in these fields
- Career opportunities in cybersecurity – Personal experiences and success stories that showcase the potential for development and advancement in the sector
- Overcoming the gender gap – Approaches to dealing with challenges and creating a more inclusive environment for young people in STE(A)M
The guest speaker for the webinar was Ljubica Pendaroska Krstevska, Founder and President of Women4Cyber North Macedonia. Her experience, practical advice, and examples inspired participants to get actively involved in cybersecurity and contribute to creating equal opportunities in STE(A)M.
The Foundation for Management and Industrial Research remains firmly committed to promoting gender equality and inclusion across all sectors and is already working on new activities that will contribute to fulfilling this important mission.
